While we can't be together at the Cimarrón concert...
While we can't be together at the Cimarrón concert, we thought you might want to relax and watch a few videos. It's not the same, but we hope it will do. Enjoy.
This video was filmed in Cerros de Mavecure, three marvelous monoliths hidden in the Colombian Amazonian jungle. In the heights of these Indigenous spiritual mountains, over the fury of the Inírida River, the song evokes the cow-milking songs of peasants from the Plains of Orinoco.
This instrumental piece includes four-stringed cuatro, harp, maracas, and also peruvian-flamenco cajón, afro-colombian tambora and an incredible stomp dance as a percussion component. Plus, it reminds us to look forward to the time when we can all dance and celebrate together. This music is meant to be shared!
Please consider making a donation to Global Arts Live now. It will allow us to reschedule concerts and book future seasons that we can't wait to share with you.
